Course Description: The course includes the following contents — Basic Biomechanics of human body and joints, center of mass, anthropometric calculation, inverse dynamics and forward dynamics, and current orthopedic related theory and trend in clinical practice.

                  

General Objectives of the Course: Understand the biomechanical foundations about human body, joints and their clinical application.

 

After completing this course, the students would be able to:

1.      Understand the biomechanical applications in human body and joints. (Knowledge and skills in specialty), (Scientific inquiry and invention)

2.      Understand the biomechanical applications in muscle force and joint torque calculations. (Knowledge and skills in specialty), (Scientific inquiry and invention)

3.      Understand the applications of modeling in orthopedic research. (Knowledge and skills in specialty), (Scientific inquiry and invention)
